Doniphan, Nebraska (July 17, 2009) - Kelly Boen seems to be hitting his stride as the O'Reilly NCRA Late Model Series hits the half way point of the season. The four-time defending champion picked up his third victory of the season Friday at Mid-Nebraska Speedway.

In picking up his 36th career win Boen led a trio of champions to the finish. Boen finished ahead of current series points leader and 2002 champion Kyle Berck and 2001 champion Delbert Smith who finished third. Ronnie Wallace and Jason Friesen rounded out the top five.

Mike Collins and Mike Wiarda each won a B feature to lead the last chance qualifiers into the A feature.
A field of 35 late models entered the first of two nights of racing at Mid-Nebraska. Round two takes place tonight.
