Season began with Wild West Shootout in Tucson, Arizona January 9th- 17th. No wins but 3 top 10 finishes. After this event, Crew Chief Greg Lee took a leave of absence from the team to take care of family business.
Terry Pannell from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma asked Kelly to drive his car. This allowed Kelly to continue racing. Their first race was the Texas World Dirt Track Championship in March. Failed to qualify through the heat race so needed to run a B. Started 23rd worked his way through the pack to take the lead but with one lap to go lost a drive shaft.
April saw them at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri where they finished 3rd. This was the best finish ever at that track.
The NCRA Season began at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas. Driving the Terry Pannell 33X The Season Opener saw them finish 10th coming from the back.
Creek County Speedway in Kellyville, Oklahoma saw them bring home Win # 01 Kelly was very happy to do this for Mr. Pannell.

by John Rittenoure
Belleville, Kansas (September 5, 2010) - Kelly Boen bided his time on Sunday and it payed off in a big way with a victory at the Belleville Highbanks and the 2010 O'Reilly NCRA Late Model Series championship. Dean Moore was setting a torrid pace on the big half-mile and Boen was a distant second until lapped traffic allowed Boen to close in take away the lead. "I think if we had a yellow he might have won it," said Boen of Moore's lead. "I was saving a little for the end and I typically do at these races because you might run your right rear (tire) off. "Dean (Moore) had a great car, it was better than mine but he got unlucky in traffic and I took advantage of it." Boen ran down Dean when lapped traffic came into play and challenged Dean on lap 14. Dean held his ground but on lap 15 Boen roared inside of Dean at they crossed the start-finish line and the two rubbed door panels as Boen gunned away with the lead entering turn one. Boen raced unchallenged the final five laps to record his 12th victory of the season.

Sunday, 30 May 2010 00:00 |
By David Smith, Jr. Greenwood, Nebraska (May 30, 2010) - Former series champion Kelly Boen has done just about won everything possible when it comes to the O’Reilly/NCRA late model division. However, one race that had eluded him was the annual Alphabet Soup. You can now cross out that race on his “to do” list as the Henderson, Colorado driver took the victory Sunday night at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska. The race was also a co-sanctioned affair with the Lucas Oil MLRA. John Anderson of Omaha, Nebraska and Boen started on the front row with Boen jumping out to the early lead. Defending series champion Kyle Berck of Marquette, Nebraska jumped into the runner up position with both drivers waging battle for the top spot for the first half of the race.
